How do I care for my reed diffuser?- Keep the diffuser out of direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can accelerate the evaporation of the oils and aroma in reed diffusers. - Keep the diffuser in a cool, dry location to ensure longevity. - Every one to two weeks, carefully flip the reeds to renew the smell. By exposing the wet ends of the reeds to the air, the scent may be dispersed. - Keep the original plastic stopper handy to prevent spillage when there is risk of doing so or when not in use (moving house, going on holidays, etc). - If spilt, clean area immediately as the liquid can damage surfaces.
-
What should I do if my reed diffuser is too strong?- Remove some of the reeds. - The amount of reeds used will determine how strong the fragrance is and how long the diffuser will last. - If you already know you are sensitive to fragrances, I recommend starting with half the about of reeds you are supplied with. (You will often be supplied with 6 reeds so you may start with 3 reeds and increase as you see fit).
-
How long will it last?- Your reed diffuser can last up to 6 months, depending on the bottle size and air conditions it is placed in. - Some factors that will affect how long your reed diffuser will last and the amount of fragrance it releases are: o Number of reeds used. o The airflow around your diffuser. Drafts, can speed up oil diffusion.
